The European Technical Assessment (ETA) is an alternative for construction products not covered by a harmonized standard. It is a document providing information on their performance assessment. The procedure is established in the Construction Products Regulation and offers a way for manufacturers to draw up the Declaration of Performance (DOP) and affix the CE marking.
Certification attests that all provisions concerning the assessment and verification of consistency of performance described in Annex ZA of the harmonized standard EN 14545:2008 under System 2+ are applied and the factory production control fulfills all the prescribed requirements therein.
